I diaper cake is typically a gift from one of the guests. However, often times, the person hosting the shower will buy a diaper cake both as a gift and as decoration for the party.

Yes I agree with G, someone will buy that for you if they like it, but its not a necessary thing to have in your baby shower, I didnt have one, and I wasnt gonna buy if for myself, however I got boxes and more boxes of diapers/ congratz!
