Question: For diaper cakes how do you get the extras such as stuffed animals to stay attached to the cake?

I just recently started doing diaper cakes and am trying to figure out the best way to get the animals and extras to stay attached to the cake. I have tryed using safety pins but they show and don't look very professional, and i don't want to use a hot glue gun because of fear of damaging the stuffed animal.

My mom used the hot glue gun. Anything that she didn't want to put the glue one, she just wrapped a matching ribbon around first and put the glue on the ribbon. My diaper cake turned out great.

Ribbons? double sided sticky tape? smaller safety pins?

Have you tried safety pinning the bottom of the animal to the cake. It would not show that way. You could always try using a tape roll to the bottom of the animal and stick it on the cake. It would make the animal stay a little better.

Ribbons work nicley. Wrap around a diaper and then around the stuffed animal and tie the front of the ribbon in a nice bow. I have seen hot glue used, but it does ruin the diaper as well as leaves glue residue on the animal.
